Labor and Birth Support Package - $1200

What's Included

~Two prenatal appointments (additional appointments can be purchased)

~24/7 on-call availability from 37 - 42 weeks gestation or until the birth of your baby. *

~Unlimited phone, text, and virtual communication during the early labor phase.

~Continuous in-person support at your chosen birth location from the time active labor is established until 1-2 hours following the birth of your baby.**

~Assistance with postpartum bonding during "The Golden Hour," such as breastfeeding and skin-to-skin contact, as needed and/or desired by you.

~Photos throughout your labor and birth if desired, or referral to a professional birth photographer ***

~One Postpartum Visit (additional visits can be purchased)

* I will make every effort to be available to attend your labor and birth outside of this established window, but the specified time frame will be reserved for your birth and I will ensure that I am available 24/7 during this time (barring any unforeseen emergency situation).

** Where a doula is permitted to be physically present in compliance with facility policy or COVID-19 guidelines. If in-person support is not permitted, the same support will be provided continuously through a virtual platform. It is essential that the client checks with their chosen birth location regarding their doula/labor support person policy prior to booking any services, this responsibility will not fall on the Doula.

Postpartum Doula Package - $400 for 10 hours of services *

What's Included - services will be provided on an as needed basis and formatted to fit the family. Services can include but are not limited:

~ Preparation services - meal prep, nursery prep, etc. 

~ Breastfeeding and/or bottle feeding support. Our doula is a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor

~ Emotional and physical recovery after birth, birth can be a traumatic experience and no matter if our bodies are made for it, it does take time to heal. 

~ Light housekeeping, doing the dishes, some laundry, or other small chores can help the parents from feeling overwhelmed. 

~ Running errands, the last thing you want to do with a new baby is to get them all pulled together, pull yourself together, put them in the car, and run all over town. 

~ Caring for the newborn, having someone who is experienced and can be trusted to care for your newborn so you can rest or take care of other tasks can be a huge relief. 

~ Meal preparation, from making the ingredient list all the way to being ready to serve, many postpartum doulas will assist with meal preparation. Our doula is trained in Perinatal Nutrition and can guide you in making the best decisions while nourishing yourself, your family, and your new baby.

~ Sibling care, for some families having someone who can help with the older children and sooth them into the role of big sister or big brother can be especially helpful. 

~ Referrals, having someone in the community who can give trustworthy referrals for parenting classes, pediatricians, support groups and other resources can cut down on much of the stress for new parents.

*The initial 10 hours can be broken up into several sessions based on the needs of the family and the discretion of the doula. Additional time can be purchased by the hour, or in a package. 

Breastfeeding and/or Bottle Feeding Counseling - $22 per hour* 

Each family has a right to chose the best way to nourish their child. As your counselor it is our job to support you with evidence based education, support, and skills to help you in your chosen path.

Child Birth Education Class -  $75 per family 

We are excited to now be offering a 4 week birth class.*  Topics include but are not limited to:

• Prenatal Care and Nutrition

• Preparing for Labor

• Stages of Labor

• Support Measures and Positions

• Breastfeeding and Bottle Feeding

• Post-partum Care

• Caesarean and Induction Births

• Adjusting to Baby

Class fee of $75 per couple.

Perinatal Nutrition Counseling - $75 for initial 1 hour consultation, $50 for follow up appointment. 

What you put in your body for fuel is important during the most normal of times. But during pregnancy and after, nutrition plays a crucial role in your health and in the health of your child. 

Knowing what and how to eat to maximize the nutrition in the months leading up to birth and after as you nurse, heal, and raise your child is indispensable. Having a perinatal Nutrition Counselor can help guide you and your family through this wonderful and demanding time.

Here at The Whispering Doula we honor your heritage. We also recognize the difficulties that may come along with those histories. For each family we will address any traditions, concerns, and struggles that your family may face. We will celebrate your histories and traditions and walk with you.

Military, Active-Duty and Veteran Families will receive a 10% Discount on all services. 

Other Discounts - Here at The Whispering Doula we believe every family should be able to access these services. Please contact us to discuss payment options and discounts based on income.
